A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
Sleepaway Camp.
I think it was one of the Friday the 13th sequels.
...and I'd be wrong.
I remember Sleepaway Camp !
I watched Rachel Getting Married last night and am not quite sure what to think of it other than that it was terribly long. Anyone else see it?

I haven't seen Rachel all the way through but my impression was that it was so much like real family drama it was no fun at all. I think most of the praise was for Hathaway far exceeding expectations.
Ah, yes, the psychic trauma, I must share it: [link]
I laughed hysterically on watching that, but I'm sure I'll have nightmares of his face.
Thanks, Megan--I think that post was the reason I stuck it in my queueueueue. I agree with your summation and actually Hathaway's range really surprised me. I became very bored with the endless music during the reception - my major complaint with the film.
I liked it, but I have a reputation in my family for loving talky movies where not a lot happens...that one, "Sebastian Cole"etc....Mom often asks me "Is X a Real Movie, or one of yours?" and, you know, I get it. AH was really good, though.
erika, did you like scene where they actually have a contest to see who can load a dishwasher the best? If they'd cut that and about half of the wedding reception, I'd have really liked the movie.
