Buffista Movies 7: Brides for 7 Samurai
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
Steph - Yes! I commented on that to my brother at the time. Also that when they had all the news stories reporting on the devastation, one carried the caption "Tiffany Burns". Which, she's not the only one, surely.
Ok, now I'm imagining - and given some of the other musical choices they made, I don't think this is outside the realm of possibility - that when Dr Manhattan and Laurie return to New York, it's to the tune of "I Think We're Alone Now".
I'm seeing it from start to finish tomorrow. I bet the movie would be 75% better with a more carefully chosen soundtrack. Snyder should watch more Tarantino flicks.

Er, I think you're right. I plead DST-induced coma.
Billytea, at least that would have been period-accurate!
I appreciate Theo's error. it gave me a laugh this morning.
Thanks to the movie, I have a mashup in my head of "99 Luftballoons" and "First We Take Manhattan."
It's a *weird* mashup, in case anyone was wondering.
A friend pointed out to me that the elevator music during the attempted "assasaination" of Veidt was a muzak version of 'Everybody Wants to Rule the World', which would have caused me to laugh like a drain if I'd noticed.
