A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

But Amy Adams is cool.
Yeah, I don't understand how it's a One Tree Hill movie.
In other news, Bridget Jones is back:
Bridget Jones is back - Renee Zellweger has signed on to appear in a third film about the hapless diary-keeper.
The first film in 2001 grossed $282 million (£188 million) worldwide, while the 2004 sequel, Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason, raked in $262 million (£175 million).
And bosses at British studio Working Title have decided it is time for Zellweger to return to the role of the beloved Brit to round out the trilogy.
It is thought the new film will concentrate on Jones' quest to have a baby in her 40s.
Colin Firth and Hugh Grant are expected to return, according to reports.

Quick, name me good movies that had one good sequel and that was fine (and no, pretending The Godfather III doesn't exist doesn't count). The only thing that comes to mind is Gremlins. And Ghostbusters, but that's about to be undone.
err... Ghostbusters II wasn't a good sequel.
Neither was Blues Brothers 2000. OK, P-C didn't mention that one, but it's important that we do not forget the bad sequels of our ancestors.

Peter MacNicol was awesome. The rest of the movie? NSM.

Linklater's Before Sunrise / Before Sunset. The second one ended pretty much perfectly and I don't want to know what happens next.
Cat People.
He thinks all twenty-somethings in movies about relationships are "One Tree Hill" and calls them such at every opportunity.
I acknowledge that this is completely random.
French Connection / French Connection II.
I think the second one is underrated, and it has one of the best final shots ever.
