I'm willing to rewatch the first Hobbit, I haven't seen the third Hobbit.
Buffista Movies 7: Brides for 7 Samurai
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
I also saw Deadpool last night. I laughed a lot, but it didn't grab me. I think it wanted to be a darker Guardians of the Galaxy, but it didn't hit that mark for me. The minute I walked out of GotG, I wanted to see it again INSTANTLY. With Deadpool, I was happy to have seen it, but that's all.
Scrappy, that's pretty much how I felt about Deadpool.
I'll probably see it again, but it's not an instant urge like it was with the Avengers movies or Jurassic World.
My brother saw Deadpool for the 5th time today. I think I'm good with waiting until it comes out on DVD before re-watching, but he's determined to find all of the 100 supposed Easter Eggs himself.
Oooh, elderflower old fashioned? Recipe please, thank you, Calli
I saw Deadpool for the second time today and I appreciated it even more. I didn't laugh as much as I did the first time, but I was more focused on how well it works on a character and story level.
Oooh, elderflower old fashioned? Recipe please, thank you, Calli
Sure! 2 oz bourbon (I used Bulleit), 1/2 oz St. Elder elderflower liqueur, 5 drops Anguestera bitters. Put in a glass, add a couple of ice cubes, stir, drink. I got the recipe from a tag on the St. Elder bottle.
Yum! Thanks Calli
You're welcome, Burrell!
I'm watching High Society (Grace Kelly, Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra) for the first time. It seems to be Philadelphia Story with a Cole Porter soundtrack. Nothing wrong with that.
