HOTH TOPIC. Ahahahahahaha.
Also:
*force-tosses you across the room* it's a TRILBY
I LOVE REY. She is the best. That is all.
So,
it seems pretty unlikely to me that Rey will be a random Force-sensitive desert kid. It would be great, but I think it will either be "Kylo, I am your sister" or "Kylo, I am your cousin." I've also seen speculation that she could be Obi-wan's granddaughter, but I feel like too much was set up with Luke's light saber LITERALLY calling her.
I loved the moment in
the final light saber battle when Kylo says "Light side sux! Let me train you in the Force!" and she's all "OH RIGHT THE FORCE" and proceeds to wipe the floor with him.
And I love in the beginning
there are moments with Poe and Finn in the tie fighter and also with Finn and Rey in the Falcon when the young characters are SO FUCKING PUMPED TO BE IN A STAR WARS MOVIE. And they're right! Being in the Star Wars universe is awesome!
Did I skim, or did we all know that
the storm trooper that Rey Jedi mind-tricks into letting her go was Daniel Craig?
I probably skipped.
I did not know that!
But it took me a long time to figure out who anyone was playing if we didn't see their face, even if I knew they were in this.
I don't think we knew that. And that is HILARIOUS.
I read that Orcar Isaac did not know he got the part until THE DAY OF THE TABLE READ. He was at the hotel and his agent said, wait for he call, you are either going to the set or getting on a plane to come home. Yikes.
I wanted to eat him up with a spoon, I gotta say.
Oscar Isaac and Domhall Gleeson were half the cast in Ex Machina and they were all over this movie. I expected to see Alicia Vikander in this too.
And: "i get all my winter clothes at Hoth Topic"
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Especially considering as soon as Pete and I were in the car, I was all
"So, cry more emo kid Kylo Ren?"
The movie was fun. I am not a fervent Star Wars fan, but I had fun. I don't feel a need to watch it again any time soon, but I feel that way about the original movie, too.
Jilli, that's verbatim what I said about him!
Jilli, that's verbatim what I said about him!
Ha! I loved the
stormtroopers overhearing his tantrum and just turning around and walking away.
There better be a
damn good explanation for R2D2 waking up at that moment. Because it felt like he was ... sulking? and then decided to be helpful?
I dunno.
