Damn it! You know what? I'm sick of this crap. I'm sick of being the guy who eats insects and gets the funny syphilis. As of this moment, it's over. I'm finished being everybody's butt monkey!

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Props to Keanu, but the guy secretly recording him made me uncomfortable.

Yeah, me too. I guess Keanu's used to it, but I was surprised he just ignored it.

Kinda weird that we give him props for behaving like a normal person under normal circumstances. I guess maybe I just assume most people are decent.

It seems like so often it's the opposite with Famous Hollywood Actors.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I think it is often the opposite for many public transportation riding people.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I spy a person new to me. Hello, Mogget.

That is even truer.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

My Shakespeare prof in college went up to the Stratford Festival to see their Hamlet one year, and Keanu happened to be a part of their group (friend of professor's friend, he was doing research before tackling the role in Manitoba). This prof, who was sweet and classically absent-minded and didn't really care about Hollywood, couldn't stop talking about how wonderful Keanu was, how he was clearly working so hard, how he would draw each person into conversation, and how much he actually understood the material.

I remember reading an article by Cintra Wilson talking about going up to Stratford with a snarky friend intending to sit in the back and quietly mock him, and that about ten minutes in they nudged each other and whispered that, actually, there wasn't anything to mock, and now they both felt silly for feeling disappointed at expecting a bad production of Hamlet and now being forced to sit through a really quite good production of Hamlet. Then they just shut up and watched it, with pleasure.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I seem to recall that the first season of Slings and Arrows based one of the plot threads on Keanu's Hamlet experience. There's an American movie star who has been cast as Hamlet, and he ends up being unexpectedly good. The director agrees that he's doing well, but also states that no one will give the actor credit, because he's cemented as a dumb action star in everyone's mind.

Hmmmmm. Now I want to go rewatch Slings and Arrows.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Now I want to go rewatch Slings and Arrows.

Is this not a constant state? Is that just me?

And now I just found out the first two seasons are on Hulu. This is dangerous information.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Nobody ever gives up their seat on the subway. Signed, Was Once (Twice) Pregnant In New York. All hail the Keanu, for he is an extremely decent guy on top of being ridiculously easy on the eyes and also is good at acting and things.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

No one ever gives up their seat on MUNI, either. Okay, I've seen it, but rarely. Very rarely.

I'm sorry to hear that Jess, in my memory NY was way better than SF in that regard.
