"FINGER ON THROAT MEANS DEATH."
Buffista Movies 7: Brides for 7 Samurai
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
I just got back from seeing Big Hero 6. Loved it! Except for the brother dying part.
Yeah, quester, that was rough.
"I will not succumb to your pelvic sorcery!"
fist bump bluh-la-lu-lu-lu
May just be my favorite movie moment of the last 10 years.
I wish I had someone in my life to do that with every day.
I dont' have a favorie moment of GoTG there are too many!!
There's Groot sending an arm through all the bad guys and then turning around with a happy little smile on his face.
And honestly when they were gambling on the rat like things Groot got this look on his face and I couldn't tell if he was mad at losing (I think he was losing) or mad they were getting eaten. Which shouldn't be a favorite part but I liked it.
Oh and Quill dancing around and using the rat thing for a microphone.
Even better the trailers for this were awesome! They did not give away anything AND I thought I knew what was happening becuase I'd seen the trailers only to realize that, nope, I didn't.
I can't remember how the trailers for the other Marvel movies have been but they do a good job of not telling you everything.
Alhtough I still wish I got more of Nebula and Gamora's back story.
"They got my dick message!"
Drax kills me, every line, even "You are an imbecile."
OK, the bad guy minion yelling "Starlord!" and Quinn grinning "Finally" was pretty good.
"Dance off, bro. You and me."
I want a BTS hat trick with Thranduil doing a dance-off with the heads of the other four armies, to go with the GotG and Twilight dance-offs.
Holy shit, Nightcrawler is fabulous and Jake Gyllenhaal is fantastic. Most satisfying film experience I've had in ages.
It's so good some guy said, "This is so good," in the middle the movie.
megan walker's comparisons to Network were on point.
