Galaxy Quest, Pirates of the Carribean, Gross Pointe Blank (not newer films but fun ones), Avengers.
Depending on your definition of fun Hansel and Gretel (the one with Jeremey Renner) was - it's not a great movie but it was a fun B movie.
If you want to go really B movie there's Sharknado.
Yeah, Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters is actually fun as long as you're not expecting anything more than what's in the title.
Oh! The Heat is HELLA fun.
re: Hansel and Gretel--the scene skinny dipping in the pond was worth the price of rental.
I missed rec time, but Silver Linings Playbook is on Netflix right now and if you haven't seen it you might probably should. I lurved it.
Saw The Judge. Liked it a lot. From the reviews I'd heard, I knew nothing about it except that RDJ was in it playing a hardcore lawyer. I expected a mediocre script enlivened only by him. I was wrong. In the wrong hands, with lesser actors, it could have been a weepy, schmaltzy, overdone movie, but instead it was a tightly written, fascinating story of a dysfunctional family, functional but deeply unhappy people, and a gripping courtroom/crime drama, all things I enjoy, made compelling by the wonderful performances of all the actors. Go see it.
There. Non-spoilery review. How often do I do that?
