I think they did a good job with Gone Girl but I think I would really hate the ending if I hadn't read the book. It will be interesting to see what the reaction of the average non-reader is.

Buffista Movies 7: Brides for 7 Samurai
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

I'm so in.
Article with an extended trailer to the documentary "We Are A Horse Nation".
It looks really interesting.
It's too bad it's coming out too late for the Equusfilmfestival. (Looks like a wide range of movies in that festival. Based on an earlier Horse Nation story.)
I just got back from seeing Gone Girl, and really liked it!
I'm now a huge fan of Carrie Coons after her performances in Gone Girl and The Leftovers.
I also thought Nick Dunne was quite a bit more sympathetic in the movie. I walked away from the book thinking "What a douchebag!"
I was also surprised at how many times I laughed during the movie.
I took Dad to see The Judge with RDJ and Robert Duvall. It was too long, and a bit overdramatic, but the performances were all very good. Good family movie, basically.
Just nod if you can hear me.
Nods.
I'm going to have to watch The Wall now.
