It's not like she blew me off. She just left with another guy, that's all.

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I would like to star Theo and Steph's posts.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

The thing that makes me even happier about Drax is that Bautista really, REALLY wanted the part and apparently broke down and wept when he heard he got it.

I've used the "over the head" quote in "straight" discussion, and it plays very well. Now, if it had his delivery...that would be a nice keeper clip.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

The biggest surprise was Bautista's Drax, who was yet another key point of comic relief and good characterization.

Film Crit Hulk has a really good analysis of how the GotG script uses humor to establish character and draw the audience into the narrative.

I really liked that.

brillig

I'm watching RDJ's Holmes 2. Good lord, Steven Fry is a splendid Mycroft. And Mrs. Watson kicks butt.
