Watched Enough Said, the James Gandolfini/Julia Louis-Dreyfus movie last night. It seems like it would have been really hard to promote effectively even if Gandolfini hadn't died before it came out, but I quite liked it.
I thought it was a great combination of the sweetness and "realness" of a new relationship.
The kids I was with weren't affected by that scene, other than one of them being annoyed at how different the movies are from the books.
Oh, one thing I forgot about Edge of Tomorrow: I would love to see a movie of nothing but Rita and Mako Mori kicking all kinds of ass.
We get to see How to Train Your Dragon 2 next weekend at the WGA. Looking forward to it.

Yes. I also appreciated that the ending didn't let her off the hook for her sketchy choices. And the thing with the guy with all the stairs. Very nice.
Thanks for the additional information, Hec and Jessica.
How old is Matilda now, Hec? I want to say she's a year older than Mattias (he just turned 7) but my tracking of time isn't the greatest these days. (Side note, congratulations to Emmett on the high school graduation.)
While I hate to give the kid spoilers, the better half thinks he may be okay with it if we explain it to him ahead of time. He still asks us from time to time why characters do certain things, so he may not completely understand the context of the scene, even if it's blatant.
She's 7 now, Kal, going on 8 in September. She's super sensitive to sad stuff so she's your canary in a coal mine for this stuff.
OK. Thank you. I thought they were fairly close in age. We'll probably take him to see it, but play it safe by warning him beforehand. As I said, he doesn't always grok the why in things.
Kal, there's a visual cue
to when any of the dragons fall under the Alpha Dragon's spell. Their eyes narrow to slits. That might be something to have him watch for.
I just saw
Metropolis.
It was the version with the Buenos Aires footage added back, and very coherent. I found it really engaging and interesting.
