WSS was groundbreaking in terms of young people in musicals, and Anita is golden, but it has been ruined by too many high schools. I still remember making the horrible stage makeup and black streaks and tips our Sharks wore. It deserves a re-look, though-- like Carousel with Audra MacDOnald.
Buffista Movies 7: Brides for 7 Samurai
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
How about smarmy milquetoast Richard Beymer?
Benjamin Horn milquetoast? NEVER! Smarmy? Without a doubt.
Romeo and Juliet being pretty much my least favourite Shakespeare.
oh, this too.
Some people have never read 2 Gentlemen of Verona. Or Comedy of Errors.
Not that I'm the biggest R&J fan, but Shakespeare wrote a lot of plays and the truly terrible ones don't get done much.
point taken.
I was gonna say - you've clearly never seen A Winter's Tale (just saw it last weekend - Shakespeare was clearly just in it for the paycheck. Cracktacular).

That's damning with faint praise, Gris. But I am in total agreement on both points.
Comedy of Errors is fun! Come on, what's better than a set of twins? TWO SETS OF TWINS.
I love listening to the WSS movie soundtrack, but I've never felt a need to rewatch the movie. Isn't Into the Woods being made into a movie? I'm looking forward to that.
What's worse than A Winters Tale? A Winters Tale performed by students. It is probably worth it for "Exeunt pursued by a bear", though
