Buffista Movies 7: Brides for 7 Samurai
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
Man, everything is Denethor's fault. Poor Boromir and Faramir.
Denethor/Walter-NotWalter/Jeremy just loves messing people up.
As a fan of giant monster movies, I'm looking forward to the newest version of Godzilla. The trailers look pretty good.
A Spider-Man movie every year
And still no damned Wonder Woman movie.
And still no damned Wonder Woman movie.
Because it's too haaaaaaaard.
And Jaimie Alexander is contractually obligated to Marvel, so she couldn't be Wonder Woman, which blows.
Although allegedly Marvel is talking about a Black Widow movie (I assume after Avengers 2), so there's that.

I still think Adrianne Palicki would do a great job.
Man, the lighting of the beacons.
"Gondor calls for aid!"
"And Rohan will answer."
Gah. I should know better. I'm arguing with someone on Facebook who claims movie!Captain America is a self-righteous douche bag, when I don't see anything in the current movies to support it. After some back and forth it turns out his real issue is that Cap was created as propaganda and thus essentially represents everything hypocritical about our country and therfore is only worthy of scorn.
It's like, dude, I'm all for making political commentary on how our country behaves, but don't sandbag a character and all of his fans simply because of what he was 70 years ago, when he's evolved quite a bit since then.
