I like the way the walls go out. Gives you an open feeling. Firefly is a good design. People don't appreciate the substance of things. Objects in space. People miss out on what's solid.

Punishingly Intricate

Whatever you think of the song itself, or novelty songs in general, it was pitch perfect for that scene.

Oh, man, yes!

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Okay, this looks like a Manic Pixie Dream Girl movie, but on the other hand it has Fran Kranz, Dichen Lachman, Felicia Day, Miracle Laurie, and HELL YES Enver Gjokaj! [link]

I want to believe it isn't as MPDG as it seems.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

The blue wig is a dead giveaway for MPDG-ness. And Kranz' character is, frankly, the guy I really dislike in most movies.

I think I'm over Some Kind of Wonderful; at 16 it was adorable, but now it doesn't work for me anymore...

And crazy dancing around. And the "help me/teach me" aspect.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Given it was filmed (at my friend's house) a million years ago (or 2?) I wouldn't have high hopes.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

John Dies at the End

That was such a good movie! I was surprised.

It was fun, but they gutted the book.

Of course. Well, lucky for me I hadn't read the book.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Capsule movie reviews!

Fun! Was this the first time you'd seen either Network or Tootsie? Because both are on my OMG MUST DROP EVERYTHING RIGHT NOW AND WATCH list, pretty much for life.
