Just got back from Hobbit, and I'd like to chime in with SMAUG. We see quite a lot of him, and in fact I think they must have included some footage from the 3rd movie in the trailer for this one. I saw the HFR version, and either my eyes just adjusted faster or they really did do it better this time.
