My kids are already clapping their hands with glee over that movie, Jessica. It seems I'll get to see it in theaters this time. Lucky me!

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
Thank you for the warning points, Jessica!
Watching Thorin and Thranduil glare at each other, priceless.
That's pretty much why I want to see the movie. All hail Thranduil, King of Bitchface!

Even the King of Bitchface is no match for Thorin Emoshield and his feels. And his hair. Which also has feels.
Vampire Academy, directed by the guy who did Mean Girls. Are the books any good?

This has got to be the greatest review pull quote ever.

I didn't know the director connection! That explains so much. The trailer is pretty funny and makes me want to see it. That is, not Want to See It, but want to see it. It looks fun.
I've liked the Vampire Academy books quite a lot -- it's very Buffy-lite in the right ways.
Smaug is magnificent. Truly incredible.
Lovely to hear! I'm going to Chattanooga this weekend to see the movie with my BFF, who is the biggest Hobbit fan who ever painted a tree in her bedroom. I've enjoyed the movies, but really, I'm in it this time for the dragon.
Smaug will be our Christmas movie. Tis the Season of Jackson again.
Emmett and I will be doing the Midnight show again this year. It's our new thing to do with his godmother, and her daughter (Maggie the Girl).
