Anyone who follows the comics or reads fic using comic canon was spoiled.

Buffista Movies 7: Brides for 7 Samurai
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
Yeah, but I bet a lot of moviegoers haven't read the comics at all. I'm sure a ton of viewers jumped onto the Avengers-verse from seeing Avengers, and have no comics background/knowledge at all (and probably don't want it).

Edit: I mean, I didn't start with the Avengers, but I have basically no interest in comics.
After The Avengers came out, I read a bunch of comics canon a friend gave me, but I have no idea how much of it is relevant. I've also read a ton of fic, some of which involves Bucky. Since it's all kind of mushed together in my brain, I have no real idea of what to expect.
Was that the Helicarrier crashing? Jesus.

re: Winter Soldier. Is this when SHIELD figures out that helicarriers are about the worst possible thing to build?
They'd be great as orbital platforms where any threat can be detected hours before it strikes. Otherwise they are helitargets. HELLA TARGETS
I didn't realize Redford was in it. Of course, my focus is mostly on Winter Soldier (I'm wondering if it's okay to use his real name, given that it's based on comics that already exist, or if it's spoilery) and Natasha.
I wish I had a teleport so that we could go see it together.
Six very interesting seconds from the X-Men: Days of Future Past movie.
It's literally just six seconds of flashes of stuff because why not.
I'm a Marvel person from way back, but "Winter Soldier" means nothing to me. But then I haven't read much comics for the past ten or more years, so....

Well, balls. Maybe between now and then, teleportation will be perfected. Or I can learn to Apparate.

Winter Soldier was introduced in 2005 by Ed Brubaker, so that's why you haven't heard of him. Looking forward to reading his run.
