No, they're not. They may quote a line or two from it.
Well, I know they're not doing it, but they're taking inspiration from it, and Affleck is playing old Batman.
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

How about Matilda? Or any of the Harry Potters? None of them are primarily about school as such, but the schools are definitely key to the stories, and they all have incredibly memorable teachers who are great characters themselves but also so beautifully archetypal of particular kinds of teachers -- especially Miss Honey in Matilda and Professor Lupin in Prisoner of Azkaban, and the everyday cruelty and petty monstrosity of teachers and principals like The Trunchbull and Dolores Umbridge are pretty painfully true.

In other news, this review of Mortal Instruments: City of Bones is pretty great: [link]
I should probably not be quite so gleeful that the movie is getting terrible reviews, but I am.
Let us be gleefully petty together.
Ok that was hilarious.Team Elderly Woman Who Walked Out Of This Movie!
