I like Ben Affleck quite a bit in the right role, but HOLY GOD NO. Zach Snyder directing Ben Affleck as Batman? Let me just preemptively gauge my eyes out, thanks.

I announced the Affleck news to Hec and Emmett, and then all three of us stomped around imitating the angry old woman from The Princess Bride: BOOOOO! BOOOO! BATMAN OF GARBAGE!
Wait, does that mean we get Alanis Morissette as Catwoman and she makes Batman's head explode? Sign me up for that.

So I am in the theater for The World's End, wearing a Firefly t-shirt. I think I am suitably geeked out.
I saw somewhere on the web that Katee sackoff might be considered for Harley Quinn.
I don't even know how I feel about Affleck is Batman. He might surprise us. Or, it might be funny.
Y'all I really liked "The World's End." I think for entertainment quality and overall story it is the weakest of the trilogy, but I had a REALLY great time. If you plan to see the movie soon, please avoid all trailers. I saw one trailer and it didn't register what was going on but Beau was spoiled for certain things.
So I went into the movie completely unspoiled and I was so surprised at a turn in the plot that I screamed out loud in the theater (with all the other people in the theater as well!). It is a gift that keeps on giving.
I don't think Pegg and Wright know how to do endings really well, and so I wasn't thrilled with the ending - but I wasn't crushed either. I just think it could have had more punch. This is a minor point because the movie was just a delight. I think it might be my favorite or tied for my favorite movie this summer. It certainly has the most original story of any movie I've seen this summer. I would like to see it again because the acting was really really good and there are little things that I picked up but would probably like to notice a bit more thoroughly a second run through.
There are no scenes after the credits, so don't bother if you are so inclined.
