Hey. New board.

I like Robin Williams being silly and the whole Rufio plot was funny then sad and I was a kid? I do not have a very thought out reasoned argument. I watched it several times and enjoyed it thoroughly and would probably like it again out of nostalgia if nothing else.

I also feel this way about the Sandlot though I think it gets better press.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Yeah, my affection for Hook has a lot to do with my age at first viewing.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Random question prompted by the news that DC has Sandman as one of the movies at the top of their list: how important is the age of the actress playing Delirium?

Oh dear, somewhere Neil Gaiman is twitching from bad memories.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I need a non-war edit of Band of Brothers.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I think they could get away with a Jane Levy type, someone who could pass for teenage if you squint really hard.

I have realised that I don't care. You could dress HBC deliriously and I'd cheer her on. Because I think the thing the girlishness was conveying can also be portrayed through mannerism and affect, and that some older actresses might be as good at that.

Or you could cast the chick who earned her way onto Harry Potter by beating an eating disorder. Which is allI can remember about her other than her ability to be floaty but on point with little loss on either side.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Ooh, Luna Lovegood ss Delirium would be great.

She has to be girlish, but also ancient, and flighty/wise without being a Manic Pixie Dream Girl.

Hey. New board.

I think the most important thing about Delirium in a Sandman movie is that neither she nor the movie ever come into existence.
