Man, I gotta wait until I get home to watch that. Grumble.
Buffista Movies 7: Brides for 7 Samurai
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
Oddly enough, Alexis Denisof and Amy Acker sound a bit weird to me in those clips, but Clark Gregg and Reed Diamond sound right at home with the language.
Okay, I want Joss to do ALL THE SHAKESPEARE, EVER. Please?
Oh man, I can't wait. That looks incredible. Love the music they chose for the trailer -- it sets the tone perfectly.

THIS. SO MUCH.
Preeetttyy.
I have to agree with P-C where Alexis is concerned. His voice just not sound comfortable with the cadence.
It reminds me of how much more I liked Wesley when he went from his natural pitch to the lower, growlier tone of later Angel seasons.
Hm. It's the same with Holtz's actor's voice (please don't make me look up how to spell his name). I got an audiobook he read specifically because I loved his voice, but was disappointed by the higher pitched, whinier tone.
Still?
Can't wait.
Also agree with P-C, but otherwise think the trailer looks great. I'm bound and determined to see more throughout the year so I'm hoping to make it to this one.

I feel like he'd sound better if he was doing his Wesley accent. Is that weird?
Otherwise, holy crap, I cannot WAIT to see this!
Yeah, the one time I've seen AD doing Shakespeare, he hadn't gone back to his American accent yet (for those who don't remember, he moved to the UK in his teens and was there for, like, half his life before coming back to the US, and for a while, couldn't do an American accent without sounding really weird), and it seemed to fit better.

No, because it's British! Shakespeare sounds better British! Everything sounds better British!
