An A-Team movie could be fun if they go for campy and not satire. Like the TV show and not a satire of the TV show.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

I think Leverage is filling any wishes I might have to see The A Team again. I can't see them beating my Leverage OT3 any time soon.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I'm psyching myself up to watch Last Tango in Paris for the first time. It's weird filling in the gaps in my filmic knowldge. Nothing ever turns out how I expected it. I thought Deliverance would be a comedy because every time my friends talked about it they started laughing. I hope the butter scene has been greatly exaggerated.

edit: hah! I posted and then looked at the post above. Fay, yours is the post that inspired my current Leverage marathon. This show is so much better than "The Two Horse Job" led me to believe. But I'm almost out of episodes and I want to send Tango back to Netflix tomrrow. Maybe I'll run over to the deli for dinner before I put it on.

It's not a comedy. Or good.

I hope the butter scene has been greatly exaggerated.

It hasn't.

Deliverance gave me nightmares. People who think it's a funny movie worry me.

Because books.

Who thinks Deliverance is funny?!

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

The movie isn't remotely funny, but referencing it can be in the right (or VERY wrong) context.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

for example,

I remember a comedian describing James Carville as looking like a love child from "Deliverance."

At that time, that joke made me laugh.

The Deliverance jokes usually happened while we were camping and/or canoeing. I think my friends laughed about it because the movie made them very uncomfortable.
