I did think it was surprising that Zero Dark Thirty got nominated for Picture, for Screenplay, for Editing, and for Actress
Really? EW seemed to think Bigelow was a lock for that nom. I haven't seen it, but it seems like the kind of movie that would be.
Cereal to add that Argo also didn't get a directing nod, which I find surprising. That's a movie that I really loved that I think hinged almost entirely on direction.

Yes. Best picture can go up to 10 now, but the other categories are still 5 (or can be less in some categories).
Which I find ridiculous, btw. I see no reason to have 10 noms for BP and still keep the other major categories at 5-6. I think we can still have 5-6 BP noms.
I think BP wins Most Popular. It's probably the Oscar that people who don't pay attention pay attention to, so they lavish all this on it.
Chris Nolan is going hard scifi with his next movie Interstellar.
The story involves time travel and alternate dimensions and sees a group of explorers travel through a wormhole. The script is based on scientific theories developed by Kip Thorne, a theoretical physicist, gravitational physicist and astrophysicist at Caltech.
Where do I buy my ticket?
Anyone heard anything about this movie Wrong? I'm intrigued.
