We saw Skyfall last night. That was fun, even if I left the movie kind of surly because of Dame Judy being killed off. But it was fun eye candy, and the Bond girl (no, I don't think I ever knew her character's name) had fantastic lipstick.
In terms of Judy Dench - I'm hoping she comes back as best Bond villain ever

I'm disappointed by the lukewarn reviews The Hobbit has been getting, not least of which because I want to see it again and nobody wants to go with me!
I would see it with you, though I do not know the way... to your local theater.
I was worried about prior reports of the length/filler, but there wasn't a single minute of it in which I felt less than engaged. I think the key for me is that although the LotR trilogy's hobbits were entertaining, I wasn't really invested in them the way I was Gandalf, Aragorn, and Boromir. Whereas I find Martin Freeman endlessly fascinating and relatable in every project I see him in, and spent about 2 1/2 hours resisting the urge to hug him despit his not being physically present in the cinema.

Very interesting post about HFR 3D and The Hobbit from a cameraman's perspective:
The guy watched the film in HFR 3D, regular 3D and 2D in the space of one day. Talk about dedication.

ETA2: so reading the comments, it turns out he didn't watch the movie in full three times. But still.
All the arguments being made against HFR projection are the same ones which were made against HDTV when it started out. "Ok for sports I guess but it looks weird and sharp and I don't like it."
