Both of my kids were able to watch Beetlejuice very early, and were only somewhat frightened by the hellish wedding scene at the end.

There may be some resistance in my house; Mal is appalled that the Lego set shows Legolas "and some random elf" fighting the spiders. While he thinks Legolas is the bomb, he can't believe the movie got that scene wrong.

The reviews started coming out last week - it's been very mixed all around.
Everyone agrees it's long and overstuffed, but whether that's good or bad depends on how much you like reading the LotR appendices.
