Me too! It is probably my second favorite song (my favorite is Stars) in the show. I am a Javert fan.
I am not even sure I can call the songs from this show earworms, because I am pretty sure I listened to it so much in high school that I can sing through the whole thing in my head with out the endless repetition that I associate with earworms.

I think I listened to Les Miz at least once a day in high school. I haven't listened to it in a while, and I don't think I should listen to it before seeing the movie in case it affects my ability to enjoy the movie.

In high school, the first soundtrack for Les Miz that I heard was the London cast, and I listened to it repeatedly. But a bunch of my friends had the American cast, and it SOUNDED WRONG to me. I didn't like listening to that version at all.
So I definitely think I ought not listen to the soundtrack before the movie. As it is, I have Colm Wilkinson in my head as Jean Valjean forever.

Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Confrontation is all sorts of awesome.
I'm a mediocre at best singer, (I can manage the occasional song in my limited range if I practice it enough. Oddly the two songs I manage best are O Come All Ye Faithful and The Hero of Canton) but I practiced the Javert low notes enough I can hit most of them. The higher end of his songs are way beyond me, though.
I really want to see this, but we can only get out to see one movie a season at most, and the Hobbit wins out this time. I'm sure I'll catch Les Mis when it comes out on DVD, though.

This was me as well. Though the lyric changes bothered me more than the different singing (though the later irked as well.) Really, American production, you seriously need Javert to sing about putting Valjean "safe behind bars"? Ugh.
