I don't think I'm violating FERPA or HIPAA if I say that I have knowledge of a certain imperial personage who is also seeing the Deluded Fairies movie.

Buffista Movies 7: Brides for 7 Samurai
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
And I'm home. Oh my. Ummm...there were a lot of laugh points that I don't think were supposed to be laugh points. It was nice to see KStew and RPatz, sorry, Bella and Edward smile instead of all the angsting . Some of the CGI was pretty painful though.
When I first read that, I got the impression you were saying that they had to use CGI to get Bella and Edward to smile. (For the record, I pictured something along the lines of the Quiznos spong monkeys. Silly, I know. They're totally Team Jacob.)
I just finished watching Crash. I had no idea that the total population of Los Angeles was approximately twenty people.

Also? When it rains there, it rains anvils.

It awesomely does. And yet - and this is something I had never remotely imagined that I might one day say - I was really quite moved when Ludacris freed the slaves.
Suzi, did the Lee Pace at least help dull the pain? (I swear I considered seeing the movie just for his sake for like, a full twenty seconds. But if my love for him wasn't enough to get me to Marmaduke ...)
Lee Pace is in it?? Come on, man, look at your life, look at your choices.
Just checked his imdb page - he's got Lincoln & The Hobbit also happening this year. That should help to class him back up a bit. (Though, seriously, you could get whiplash from his choices. Guess a man's gotta pay the rent, though...)
edit: so busy playing with italics I managed to misspell imdb.
Lee was great and honestly? this one was the best of the bunch. i know. i can't believe i'm saying that either.
I saw Skyfall last night with D. I pretty much agree with alla y'alls. Bond frequently leaves me cold, because I don't find the banter charming and sexy, I find it dated. I was also seriously bothered by the effete, mincing sexual deviant villain with mommy issues. Fucking really? Judi Dench is the best damn thing about those movies, and I do really enjoy her interactions with Bond. In retrospect, I should have realized that all the focus on her meant she was going to die. Even though we bought tickets to the spendy theater that doesn't allow anyone under 18, there was still a fool who yelled out "OMG THEY CAN'T KILL M!!! And then continued to offer commentary and refused to be shushed. After the lights came up I spotted three middle-aged gay men who seemed to be a bit crocked. I think they were guilty.
Also, I completely respect Craig as Bond, but he just does absolutely nothing for me. I appreciate his physical competence and presence, and I think he did a terrific job with some of the darker parts of this movie.... but meh.
In conclusion,
I want my escape in the form of fun technology, travel, stunts, and shit and not interrupted by baseline stupidity.
This. And I'm looking forward to RED 2.
