Buffista Movies 7: Brides for 7 Samurai

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

They go on and answer your question:

The point is this: There’s a very strong possibility that a viewer’s enjoyment of Whedon’s take on William Shakespeare will be affected by how much of a Whedon fan he or she already is. It’s not a requirement, mind.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

With Strega. I find I'm not that eager to see what Joss does to Shakespeare.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

In theory I like the idea of essentially having a resident company to work on new film projects, but it sounds as if this one may have too many Jossverse actors and throw me out of the story. I'll be anticipating Beatrice turning blue-haired and punching Benedick's head off if he gets in too good an insult.
