I saw the Avengers Saturday afternoon. There were probably 10 others in the theater with me. There didn't seem to be many people going to other movies either, though.
This was the first time I heard Loki's pitiful whine afte getting pounded into the floor by the Hulk, though. At previous viewings the audience laugh for, "Puny god," totally drowned it out.
I finally saw TDKR yesterday. I liked it but I think it needs a second viewing to keep it all straight. There were so many people to keep track of.
One of my favorite things was Commissioner Gordon: Action Hero on the truck with the bomb! He really earned his stripes on that one!
I did not know Marion Coutillard was in the film, so I kept trying to figure out why she was there in the same movie with Catwoman. I'm going to have to go back and watch the first one, because I seem to have not absorbed the whole Liam Neeson subplot very well. I only saw it on TV and that may be part of the problem.
I wasn't fond of the the 2nd film. I was let down about Ledger's Joker from the hype and thought Maggie Gyllenahall was miscast. But, that was just me.
Was it ever made clear in the movie how Bane knew Bruce Wayne was Batman? Were we supposed to think he was just smart like that, or (in retrospect) were we supposed to think that
Talia told him?
I was going with him just being smart like that, but Tim thinks it's the latter explanation.
First time around I thought (a) but the second time I thought (b). It's never made explicit.
Or maybe
everyone in the League of Shadows knows. I mean, how many American billionaire ex-members could they have?
In the comics, Bane figures it out, because he's smart like that. So that's what I was going with. But after the
Talia reveal, when we know they've been working together all along,
it's definitely plausible that
she just told him.
The thing that drives me crazy is how images in the movie (TDKR) seemed to confuse who
Al Ghul was, NOT Liam Neeson
.
le nub, now I'm having visions of
Roby Roy or Qui Gon Jinn
showing up in TDKR. Possibly also
Aslan.
Otherwise, I'm not sure what you mean.
RIP Michael Clarke Duncan. link
So young. I had no idea about the heart attack. That's sad.
I just saw that, sj.
He was one of the few reasons to watch that Bones spinnoff. I just liked watching him.
