Angel: He is dead. Technically, he's undead. It's a zombie. Connor: What's a zombie? Angel: It's an undead thing. Connor: Like you? Angel: No, zombies are slow-moving, dimwitted things that crave human flesh. Connor: Like you. Angel: No! It's different. Trust me.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

I loved Last Action Hero, but I remember there being a lot of hate for it when it came out. I originally chalked it up to people not realizing it was supposed to be a send up, though I did recently read a review where someone hated it because of the real world stuff. They just wanted an over-the-top action parody. Which is fine, I suppose, but I much prefer the version we got.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have no memory of that film, pretty much. But I'm not much of an Arnie fan at the best of times.

brillig

The only thing better than Arnie in that movie would have been Stallone--though Sly got a nice poster out of it.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I loved the jokes about F. Murray Abraham. "He killed Mozart!"

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I am among those who did not like Last Action Hero and who still does not like the movie. I never want to see that movie again.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

It's one of the few movies I've wanted to walk out on. And I was on a date.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I did think it was priceless having Joan Plowright showing a film to her class and remarking that they might recognize Sir Laurence Olivier from his role of Zeus in Clash of the Titans.
