All right, yes, date and shop and hang out and go to school and save the world from unspeakable demons. You know, I wanna do girlie stuff!

I admit that the hat on one of the Dwarves just looks odd and anachronistic to me.

I feel that a rewatch of Elia Kazan's "A Face in the Crowd," is in order in honor of Andy Griffith's passing.

Great movie, and a great performance by Griffith.

I've got the soundtrack because of those cool, folksy songs.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Gaaaah, Mirkwood. Not looking forward to that part.

Also, I just made flailyhands at the Galadriel photo.

Jena Malone more than likely will be Johanna Mason in Catching Fire.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I've had a soft spot for her ever since Cheaters, a.k.a. The Academic Decathlon Movie.

"Face In The Crowd" is really awesome...aside from showcasing a side of ol' "Ange", I never knew he had, KO is right...it seems to have anticipated people like Glenn Beck.

I think the Tim Robbins movie Bob Roberts was kind of a remake of aFitC. If not, it was close enough in tone, theme and plot that it may as well have been.

People like Glen Beck go way back. Father Coughlin started well before WWII. I don't when the first U.S. secular hate radio started, but I know it was well established (as a fringie thing) by the 60s.

Yeah...I could see that, although I don't think Tim Robbins quite carried it off...or the script wasn't as good, maybe. Do not remember which, but "Face" had a powerhouse screenwriter.
