I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Hmm. I reread the source material just the other week, and now I'm starting to worry about the fact that we've already bought tickets and made lovely plans with other people whom we wouldn't want to stand up.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I have not read the graphic novel.

I see the movie on Friday.

I will be a test subject.

Because books.

We didn't have NetFlix for a while and just got it back, so we're catching up on a LOT of movies.

Wall-E = LOVE. I would watch the first half hour every day, for real.

Iron Man = Also LOVE. RJJ is absolutely perfect in that role. I had some issues with the character of Pepper, but not enough to mar my enjoyment overall.

Cloverfield = OMGWTFPOLARBEAR, and I do NOT mean that in a good way. Was this movie as absolutely stupid as I thought it was? I mean, it had some good shots, but overall my WTFness at Hud CONTINUING to film while running, and Rob's suicide mission to get uptown (and then Beth still being alive! and able to escape and run despite major blood loss! and injury!) was only superceded by how boring the whole thing seemed.

Also, not for nothing, the initial attack and the street scenes were still hard for me to watch. I was surprised that still hurt.

So, we're 2 for 3.

I loved it so much, we saw it in the theater twice (okay, the second time was the cheap theater, but still). I didn't even do that with The Dark Knight.

t edit I asked for Iron Man for Christmas (and got it); I still don't want to re-watch TDK (and don't have the DVD).

Oh, I can't wait to see TDK again. I'm sure we'll get the DVD, too, because I know Ben will want it.

But ... Cloverfield, Tep! ::takes Teppy by shoulders and shakes her in disbelief:: It was so, so bad! I'm just ... stunned by the badness.

Amy, that's why I avoided Cloverfield! (Well, no; I can't handle horror movies in that general vein. They stay stuck in my brain and I can't ever get them out. So I have to just not see them. But I *do* remember hearing how bad it was and thinking it was just as well that I avoid horror flicks.)

I'm glad I saw Cloverfield but I wouldn't recommend it.

We're screening Watchmen right now and I can't sit in there because I still have work to do. pout.

I just caught the opening sequence. I'm still cheesed as hell for this picture.
