Needless to say, MASSIVE SPOILERS
Er, I'd say your sentence before needs a little whitefonting too.
"All will be revealed in James Cameron's PROMETHEUSES."
I was going to make that joke! Damn you, Internet!
I just got back from
Prometheus.
I enjoyed it, but it didn't make a lick of sense.
I did like that Dr. Shaw was like,
"I am fucking sick of women being impregnated with alien babies! I AM CUTTING THIS SHIT OUT OF ME MYSELF."
Although, as already discussed, it didn't make a lick of sense.
Er, I'd say your sentence before needs a little whitefonting too.
Whoops! Everybody, pretend you didn't see that.
Prometheus Unbound: What The Movie Was Actually About.
May be reading too much into it, but some interesting stuff in there, especially regarding
why the Engineers were wiped out two thousand years ago.
Okay, he is full of shit. The reason

OK, I graduated magna cum laude with a minor in English that emphasized British drama. So I feel pretty confident that if I come out of a movie completely mystified as to what was actually going on in the plot and what the screenwriter and director were trying to convey, it's not a case of me just being a yokel who's too dumb to "get it." That, my friends, was a beatifully shot Hot Mess. Sort of the cinematic equivalent of Batman Odyssey.
Matt,
yeah, you are Beau (Ph.D. in Lit) had a similar reaction. My bar is a bit lower with regard to strict adherence to plot coherence. But Beau is still yelling about there being no plot.
Say what you will about the weaknesses of the Matrix trilogy, but even the last 2 weren't as big of a hot mess as Prometheus.
When the opening credits rolled, I thought, oh, hey, Guy Pearce is in this movie!
During the movie, I never thought, hey, it's Guy Pearce!
When the closing credits rolled, I thought, oh, hey, Guy Pearce was in this movie!
I want to see this movie.
Ha ha ha, gingerhaze and Kate Beaton need to collaborate on something.
Prometheus Unbound: What The Movie Was Actually About.
That kind of makes me want to see it again.
I want to see this movie.
Heh. Me too.
