I loved that show too.
And there was an actual Japanese person in the show.

It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. I gotta ask. How many of you who didn't read comics as kids had brothers? I read comics all through the 60s and some of the 70s. But I don't know if I would have if my brothers hadn't bought them and I kind of followed along starting when I was around six. So I was always aware of most of the superheroes out there even if I didn't read that particular comic and enjoyed all the shows and movies as they came along.
I was an only child, and my closest male cousin is 10 years older than I am.
I didn't read comics as a kid. I remember thumbing through some X-Men comics once, but the only comics I read were ones I got in India that were about Akbar and Birbal and such. And some Archie comics that my aunt had. My comics knowledge came from the animated serieses. It was only in college that I really got into comics, thanks to my pusher.

Me, for one. I knew the Silver Surfer existed because my brother read those, but he didn't share.
I have a brother - six years younger - and I don't think he read comics either.
I read some comics as a kid, but I didn't have a pull bag until college (85-89). Even then it was Sandman and various X-Men things rather than Captain America and Iron Man. I didn't have any brothers, but I was a daddy's girl, and Dad loved his Prince Valiant comics.
Didn't have a brother, but I started collecting as soon as I moved somewhere with comic books (not enough availability in Jamaica to even follow a title).
My father was a big Phantom fan, et al, in his day, but he didn't mention that to me until I was way into the habit. I lost at least a couple thousand dollars worth of comics in Katrina.
count me as a comic-reader with a brother. and a young uncle.
My dad had a bunch of comic collection books (mostly Batman and some Marvel) and I enjoyed reading those as a kid. Read some indie titles as a teenager, but never bought super hero comics until I was an adult. Like P-C, most of my experience comes from the assorted cartoons.
In regards to the nature of Loki's plan, here's an interesting take on it: [link]
