Is it weird that I liked Captain America more than I liked Thor?
I really enjoyed the hell out of Thor; it was just uncomplicated fun. But Captain America was incredible. So emotionally satisfying, and visually gorgeous, and and and. Chris Evans just owns that role.
Saw Avengers tonight for the second time. I really, REALLY love the respect
between Tony and Bruce,
and the way
Tony really isn't afraid of the Bruce Hulking out,
even though everyone else is. I LOVE
Tony and Bruce driving off together
at the end of the movie, presumably to go be
science bros.
Dammit, I want a Black Widow/Hawkeye movie.
I would watch the HELL out of Black Widow and Hawkeye shooting things for 2 hours.
And, goodness, Tom Hiddleston is attractive.
I have WAY too many feels about Tony and Bruce, man. ALL THE FEELS.
Some are left over for Black Widow and Hawkeye, though.
We were debating who
paid for the shawarma, assuming the restaurant didn't just make dinner for the superheroes who saved the city. So let's say they had a bill. Well, Thor has no Earth money. You cannot tell me Tony has a wallet in the Iron Man suit (Tim just said Iron Man is probably an ATM -- fanfic now, please). I would say Bruce got the bill, but I'm guessing that if he thinks he'll be Hulking out (which he did before he showed up in Manhattan), he isn't going to be carrying a wallet. Hawkeye is going to be all, "Out of the team, who had his brain and will stolen by Loki? Huh? NOT PAYING, BITCHES."
That leaves Black Widow and Cap. You know Steve carries money in his suit, just in case. And he wouldn't let a woman pay for dinner.
So I vote Steve.

Come sit at my table, Cap is my favorite too. Though I liked everyone, even Tony in this movie.
Steph, you know
Tony has his Centurion Card number memorized for buying suits or private planes or whatever strikes his fancy online.
I wouldn't care at all about Hiddleston if not for the internet, but that dude is fantastic.
And I'm probably some wrong kind of fan, but my favorite moment was
Steve getting the "flying monkeys" reference. Cute!
Tony would probably have to call Pepper to get his CC number.
Hiddleston IS fantastic -- I'm going to see Midnight In Paris solely on the strength of wanting to see him.
I liked
Captain America
more than
Thor
, too.
So I vote Steve.
Tony would probably have to call Pepper to get his CC number.
I love you all. Maybe Tony had
Nick Fury billed.
The theater wasn't packed but it was pretty full and there were all kinds of people there and all ages - little kids to a couple who looked like they were in their 70s.
People clapped at the end of the movie - I don't remember the last time I was in the theater and that happened (LoTR maybe?).
I'm pretty sure Iron Man's suit comes with an ATM swipe.
