I gotta say, seeing Avengers a week after Hunger Games makes me wonder what Joss could have done with THAT franchise. Damn.
I haven't seen Avengers yet, but Cabin in the Woods gave me the same thought.

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Ha, nice.
Speaking of, can we talk about how awesome Black Widow was—well,in general, but also—in her first scene where she KICKED BACK FROM SOMEONE'S STOMACH ONTO THE FLOOR AND PROPELLED HERSELF BACK WITH HER HANDS?
The movie did right by the "normals". I loved that
both Black Widow and Hawkeye were integral to stopping the bad guys in the end.
Absolutely, Frank. I loved that a lot.
