I'm going to see it on Sunday afternoon, I think. Hopefully I won't get too spoiled beforehand.
Buffista Movies 7: Brides for 7 Samurai
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
I might try to hit a first showing of the day on Saturday.
I forget--any word on if the 3-D version sucks or not?
I seem to remember hearing it wasn't a complete disaster in various reviews. I just find post-production 3-D as not doing very much for me and I'd rather not spend the extra money.
Yeah, because of my bad eye, I pretty much avoid movies that had the 3-D done in post-production.
On a really good 3-D movie like Coraline, I get enough benefit to enjoy the 3-D; otherwise it's not worth it.
Looks good, which is good since we're seeing it in 3D. Not a must-see, but looks like the 3D does add some fun stuff without detracting from the experience.
I thought it was shot in 3-D rather than being done in post-?
I think I'm going to see if I can find a copy of Thor to rent to reward myself for all my errand-running today. I haven't seen it yet, and you can only buy it on iTunes, waaaah.
I haven't seen a 3-D movie. So far the reports of headaches have balanced out the reports of niftiness, and the extra cost has tipped the balance toward 2-D.
Good luck with the Thor-ing, smonster. Whether or not the emotional hook works for you there's a whole lot of pretty in Thor.

I would definitely recommend seeing the Aardman Pirates movie in 3-D, it really makes that film.
Thor is shirtless in one scene. t edit Of Thor. That is all you need to know.
