Because books.

No! Jack Black is all earnestness and raw enthusiasm, and Steve Buscemi is cynical and mellow and vaguely amused.

I do love Jack Black in School of Rock, though.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Well, I mostly said the Steve Buscemi thing for laughs because I have had to much wine... But I do find Jack Black very charming because of his earnestness. And for some reason (probably wine) I now want to compare Jack Black's weird eyebrow expressions to Damon Salvatore's on Vampire Diaries!

I adore me some Jack Black. From everything I've seen and heard, he's a genuinely nice guy, I think he's funny, and he substantively supports small LA theatre. I kind of have to adore him for that last bit alone.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Jack Black was interviewed by Terri Gross last week. He seemed pretty likeable to me.

I'm well acquainted with the Jack Black ouevre as Emmett is a fan, plus he was on Yo Gabba Gabba and he was on Mr. Show with David Cross and Bob Odenkirk.

I think School of Rock was his sweet spot and captured all of his virtues in one character. He's also pretty good in Tropic Thunder.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Don't forget him in High Fidelity.

OK, guess I'm first. AVENGERS just fuckin' rocked!!! So much fun. Midnight show means no more coherent thoughts but BOOYAH!!!! But I think it will be a seriously worthy movie on rewatch, which I plan to do. Sleepy time now though. Night night!

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I plan on seeing this movie many, many more times. So much good stuff, it just keeps on coming at you. I didn't even go to the 3-D version and I still felt like I was right in the middle of the story and the action. The audience freaking loved it and it got applause both before it started and after. Five theatres in the complex dedicated to it and all five sold out for the midnight showing. I am not even sleepy, but I know I need to go to bed.
