Prick Up Your Ears?
'Unleashed'
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Heh, I remember that now.
The title "Prick Up Your Ears" was intended to be a double-entendre, you know.
So I have learned from Wikipedia!
Joe Orton's plays are great, btw. Sadly, the film version of Loot was crap. IIRC they changed a lot to de-emphasize the gayness of the two main characters.
I liked the film version of Entertaining Mr. Sloan when I saw it about 25 years ago.
eta (for those who are not P-C): "Prick Up Your Ears" was the title of a play (I think) that Joe Orton never finished due to his murder. It's also the title of a great movie about him by Stephen Frears. Oh, and a biography by the son of the Cowardly Lion.
Dirty Dancing, till the big dance where All is Forgiven, of course.
Once again the day is saved through the power of dance! (See also, Footloose.)
The first 30 minutes of Joe v. Volcano is some of the most magical film-making I've ever seen.
"I know he can get the job but can he do the job?"
"I'm NOT arguing that with you."
Somebody mentioned High Fidelity but it is my absolute favorite precisely because I think the romance story, at least, is remarkably realistic.
