Does that bird stay on his head the whole time?
Buffista Movies 7: Brides for 7 Samurai
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
Is Tonto supposed to be an American Indian, or the forgotten time-traveling KISS band member?
I just looked at the IMdB page. Helena Bonham Carter (much as I love her) must be contractually obligated (somewhere) to appear in every Johnny Depp film ever.
or the forgotten time-traveling KISS band member
I would watch the HELL out of that movie.
or the forgotten time-traveling KISS band member
Me too!
Oh, yuck. Even the thought of Olyphant playing the Masked Man is completely neutralized by the thought of Depp-as-Tonto.
Tonto's makeup is based on this painting.
Depp says: “I’d actually seen a painting by an artist named Kirby Sattler, and looked at the face of this warrior and thought: That’s it,” Depp told EW.
And so, the 21st century Tonto was born, even down to the headdress, which to Depp was of paramount importance.
“I thought: Tonto’s got a bird on his head," he said. "It’s his spirit guide in a way. It’s dead to others, but it’s not dead to him. It’s very much alive.”
Isn't Finnick supposed to be unreasonably pretty?
What about Anton Yelchin, then?
I am not sure I would want to be a costume designer and work with Johnny Depp.
I know I wouldn't.
