Isn't Finnick supposed to be unreasonably pretty? In which case my ideal casting would be like Anne's: Jensen Ackles ten years ago. (I think he's gorgeous now, but when he was younger he looked positively unnatural, which would work for the role.)

that was an April Fool's joke being used by a few Hunger Games tumblrs. maybe they latched onto that. heads will roll if it's real. the best casting i've seen for Finnick is Garrett Hedlund. he works for me.

Do we just hate Pattinson because he was in Twilight? Because I remember an awful lot of Cedric-swooning back in the HP4 days...
I don't have a strong opinion re: Finnick casting, but Pattinson definitely seems unnaturally pretty to me. Not that I think they'd cast him.

Bradley James, who plays Arthur in the BBC Merlin, has that ridiculous anime-character-pretty face and can actually act. He may make a decent Finnick. IMDb says he's 28 but he could probably pass for younger. How old is Finnick supposed to be? Mid-20's?

Finnick should be 24. he won the games when he was 14 and that is established as ten years ago.
i've never found Pattinson hot and i think he's a terrible actor.
