What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Hungry fans will descend on the delicious bags of popcorn, which will subsequently explode.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

A Peacekeeper will publicly whip you for stealing candy.

Teppy - Hee!

Peacekeeper

The problem with Collins using this terms was that I kept picturing Aeryn Sun throughout the book.

Not that that's a BAD thing.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Wow, that is a world of Not Getting It.

Couldn't think of a better way of saying it, so I'm just going to say, what P-C said.

It appears to be willful ignorance of the concept of satire.

Or he can only think of "dressing up" in terms of Pretty Woman or Sex and the City.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

Fortunately he's getting a lot of WTFs in the comments, but he's also defending his viewpoint.

I will say that I can see how only seeing the movie would make one think that. The emphasis on the reality TV/sponsor aspect is really strong.

He says he's read the books.

I think it's clear he's read the books, actually, given that he talks about Katniss's role as a symbol. I just don't understand how he doesn't see that Collins is not condoning the "dress-up" aspect in any way.
