You got all kinds of learnin' and you made me look the fool without tryin', and yet here I am with a gun to your head. That's 'cause I got people with me. People who trust each other, who do for each other, and ain't always lookin' for the advantage.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I wish I had the stamina for this.

My upstairs neighbor has all the dvds, so we're watching them over the two weekends before the Avengers comes out. Less butt-busting, more booze.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Huh, I forgot Patrick Wilson was in The A-Team.

This post brought to you by HBO in my hotel room.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Hee. I love that movie more than I probably should. They "fly" an Abrams tank! And Bradley Cooper is scarily competent with his M4.

(I mean, yes, of course Face is an awesome marksman, but the actor himself is also very good with the weapon. Also, he gets to speak French. Bless.)

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I just watched Banksy's Exit Through the Gift Store movie and I feel...somehow. Kinda dirty, maybe. Actually, I kinda feel like I did during my brief Andy Kaufman obsession, like I'm pretty sure I'm being laughed at, but I might be okay with it.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

The "Hunger Games" TV rights were purchased by ABC Family.

Damn.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

ABC Family did some reasonably interesting YA SF with Kyle XY. Don't judge ahead of the evidence.

I'm not sure how to sustain a TV series on any station with the the premise, and on any station other than pay cable the violence is going to have to be pretty much implied, but we'll see.

I am judging.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I prefer my violence implied, but I'm a wimp like that.
