Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Cool.

ION, I wonder what it'd be like to fast for a day or two and then see The Hunger Games....

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I know I don't read anywhere near as much as I intend to, but Tales from Development Hell sounds like great anecdotal information to have on hand for piecemeal reading.

And who doesn't love a good schadenfreudey holier-than-thou story? Because we all know we'd not make the same mistakes in similar positions.

all huge-budget works that were necessary (well, maybe not the second Hulk or Iron Man movies) to set up the movie.
Really? So there's no way I can follow Avengers if I haven't seen any of the earlier movies? Because I haven't.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I really doubt this will be the case - in general, movie studios like to make money, and you make a lot more money if your movie doesn't come with prereqs.

I've only seen Iron Man, and I don't see that changing any time soon. I assume Avengers will recap everyone's powers and backstory for me just fine.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I've seen Iron Man 1 (not 2) and Captain America. Beau has seen Thor too.

Oooh, thanks for posting that. That book looks right up my alley.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, I'm sure there's nothing in the other movies that you'll need to follow the Avengers.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Iron Man would most likely be the "important'' one to see, because it's probably the one that made them decide they could do an Avengers movie anyway. But, like everyone said, they're not turning away money at the door, and it's not a complex premise (see, some people have ability to do heroic stuff...) so it'll be *just* fine*. Millions of people will walk away without a better idea of who Hawkeye is, to boot.
