It was surprisingly beautiful. Visually.
Wrod. They do wonderful things with the various styles of animation. I meant to go see it again just so I could marvel at the lushness and realism of what they did. They used traditional 2D Saturday morning style animation for flashback sequences, and when they went back to the standard 3D version, the sheer difference made me think I was looking at photography for several minutes.
"Transformers: Dark of the Moon" got a sound editing nom? How much artistry can there be in the continuous roar of explosions for 90 minutes?
It's next up in my Netflix queue, so I will LISTEN.
Also, the goddamn thing is 154 minutes.
