Jayne: Captain, can you stop her from bein' cheerful, please? Mal: I don't believe there is a power in the 'verse that can stop Kaylee from being cheerful. Sometimes you just wanna duct tape her mouth and dump her in the hold for a month.

move out and draw fire

Oh, that's wicked cool.

The analysis of porn even looks porny.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I swear I can look at the graph for Alien and tell that I like it, and at the one for 2001 and tell that I don't.

I also understand I'm making shit up, but there you go.

Someone elsewhere keeps trying to convince me to lower my action movie bar. I don't get why he's so invested in me liking Tom Cruise or Arnold Schwarzenegger movies, but he's remarkably dogged. I keep trying to explain to him my bar isn't particularly high (I mean Bad Boys passes). I just want engaging characters who look like they can handle themselves. I find Tom Cruise laughable most of the time, and Arnold hasn't convinced me of anything the movie seemed to intend outside of T1.

He can't let it go.

I hope that's not me.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I love the Cinemetrics thing. I'm all, "see, I TOLD you nothing fucking happened in 2001!" (let's never mind that I'm telling the cat.)

So Disney intends to make a movie from Into the Woods. James Lapine is involved.

... I am dubious, especially since Bernadette Peters likely won't be involved.

Let us not forget that they ruined "Beauty and the Beast" for which I still have not forgiven them.

Wait, you mean the animated version? But but but ... what do you not like about it?

(Look, maybe I identify a bit with Belle and her crackpot inventor father. Maybe.)

Because books.

I want to go see it in the theater again! I saw it that way on first release, and I LOVE it. I don't really want the 3D, but the chance for a big screen again is awesome.

My favorite song to sing is probably Gaston's.

I'm especially good at expectorating!

Belle and the villagers' song, where she's singing about her books and the poor provincial town, and the villagers are all "She's nothing like the rest of us" is hands-down my favorite song. I almost put it on my 2012 playlist.
