Congratulations to the class of 1999. You all proved more or less adequate.

Buffista Movies 7: Brides for 7 Samurai

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

I've seen all but four on that Esquire list. It's kind of an interesting mix of gold and crap.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Boy, I'm not doing well with that list--I've only seen 33 of them. Of course, there's a lot of classics I've never seen, and that list is a guy list so there's no musicals, which is my favorite genre.

From what I read a while back, the original ending (or one of the previous endings) was that Connor dies at the end, and Marcus basically puts on his skin. I kind of admire how insane that is, but: nuts. And then apparently there was also something where Marcus-as-Connor then kills everyone -- I guess to cover the replacement? Or just to be a dick, I don't know.

I can fanwank putting Reese on the hitlist since there would be records that he protected Sarah in the past. I'm okay with Skynet knowing "apparently in the future I'll want to do this, and it's safe to assume there's a good reason." But I'm not looking for a lot of sense in Terminator movies. So many of their problems could be avoided if someone just said "Have you ever considered changing your damn name?"

Yes, but you do admit that some of your crap is other peoples' gold, right?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Fan trailer for a movie that will never be.

“Not dead yet!”

I was surprised that American History X wasn't on that Esquire list.

“Not dead yet!”

Fan trailer for a movie that will never be.

Part of me wants to say some people have just waaaaaaay too much time on their hands, the other part wants to just simply stand back and say, DANG.

And in semi-related news, anyone know what the music is they used? It sounds super familiar and I know it was used in for another trailer, at least-- Wolverine, maybe? It's going to drive me nuts until I figure it out.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Star Trek music was used.

It took the person 2 months off and on to do the vid.

“Not dead yet!”

Ah, that would explain why it sounds so familiar. ::facepalm::

Some days, there's just not enough coffee in the world.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I saw I ♥ Huckabees last night. It was sort of funny and interesting, but I'm not quite sure it totally worked.
