So my 12YO niece and 14YO nephew dragged me to the new Twilight movie over the weekend. I think I'd have enjoyed the movie more if it just realized it was overwrought, half-baked melodrama and ran with it. Or if Edward and Jacob had decided that they didn't need Isabella, and run off together.
They also wanted to see the new Chipmunks movie. A mildly diverting but very forgettable hour and a half.
You deserve a big gold star as an uncle, Fred Pete.
I think it's crazy who some of the Chipmunk voice actors are -- Amy Poehler, Matthew Gray Gubler???? (Am less suprised by Anna Faris and Christina Applegate on the ladies' side.)
Sara went to see the Chipmunks movie yesterday with friends. Thank god, because there's no way I would sit through it. She didn't seem overly impressed, though.
Heh. AVClub parsing of the Batman trailer has descended to: "Bane should be wearing a more sensible windbreaker."
Now I want to see Bane in a Member's Only jacket.
I don't know when anything in a trailer has made me as gleeful as the part with the football field in the DKR trailer. I've watched just those few seconds about a dozen times already.
I want to see a DKR/FNL crossover in which Smash outruns an imploding football field.
The Dark Knight Rises trailer
So...Bruce Wayne is the 1%?
Also, I am so underwhelmed with Princess Diaries Catwoman. Feh.
And I forgot JGL was in the movie until he popped up in this trailer.
Have we speculated at all (from the comics):
broken back? Yes/no?
If yes, will it be an end-of-movie
cliffhanger thing,
or
resolved within the movie?
(I can't quite figure out how they would do that, time-wise, but it could be done.)
