"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Quinto's boyfriend is hot.

Did the casting people not realize he's Asian? I thought their mission statement was to completely whitewash the movie...

It's okay because the Colonel is a bad guy, and antagonists are allowed to be Asian.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

This guy's pretty enough to be Finnick. [link]

Anyone know if he can actually act?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Red Dawn has been given a release date of 2nd Nov, 2012. Not long to wait at all.

I hadn't realised Adrianne Palicki was in it. Jess and John together for the first time!

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Saw Hugo yesterday and LOVED it. Gorgeous, smart, rich with all kinds of allusions and secret jokes. It works wonderfully in 3-D and I am SO looking forward to seeing it again.

Because books.

I'm dying to see that, Scrappy, and I think Sara would love it, but since we're doing movies with my five-year-old niece, too, who is a little more sheltered and easily scared, we're doing The Muppets on Saturday. Which I want to see, too, because Muppets! But Hugo looks fantastic.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Because books.

Thanks, Jess. I think what E. said about the under-sixes definitely applies here, though -- my niece is way more sheltered than my kids were at her age, and she doesn't see a lot of movies in the theater. I'm not up for a freak-out when it's someone else's kid, or even just squirmy boredom.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Apparently the Twilight birth scene is triggering seizures in some people. I guess it is because (I have not seen the movie) there are flashes of different colors during the scene.

I guess Mary Hartman may now rest easy.

Wait, the birth scene was in the one that just came out? Why did I think it was in the next one? Enh, I don't know if I have the energy anyway.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

You didn't read the live hate tweeting of the movie! Yes, the birth scene is in this movie.
