Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.
We saw Take Shelter yesterday. Mike Shannon (who I know very slightly) was excellent, as was Jessica "I'm In Everything" Chastain, but I just didn't like the film much. It seemed, I dunno, to think it had a lot more meaning than it actually did. Anyone else see it?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.
Angsty take on Species, starring ScarJo. I dunno, the premise makes me all eye-rolly, but much of that might be my lack of respect for the lead actress and her reputed sexpottiness.

Every year, the AV Club invites a famous horror aficionado to set up a 24 horror movie marathon.
This year they chose Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead, Spaced etc.)
His taste in horror is a lot closer to mine than Eli Roth's was. I've actually seen almost half of this list.
The rule of thumb is you need about 15 movies over twenty four hours.
I'm going to go mull it over and try to come up with a list, but I'd be curious to see anybody else's picks.

The comments section at AV Club is usually worth reading and there's a good conversation there, where some folks are pimping "Hush" from BtVS and "Blink" from Dr. Who.
Also naming specific episodes of New Twilight Zone, Night Gallery, TV movies and Tales From the Crypt. See now, that's an online conversation becomes a useful resources.
A marathon of TV horror could be pretty cool.
Definitely need some Twin Peaks in there...

That's And All Through the House, and it is the best episode of the show as far as I'm concerned.
